Honestly great product for big messy dogs, my female shepherd pup would pretty much bury her snout in the regular water bowl and then come running making a mess of our hardwood floors, but with this bowl it has helped dramatically
I have 2 adult pups in my home. 1 is my dog and the other is my inlaws who live upstairs. The pups are sisters from same liter but are total opposites. My dog drinks slow and doesnt usually make a mess unless she is really thirsty. Where as her sister is a total piggy. I got this bowl to put outside so when they are out there hanging out they have water. Even though both dogs appear to like and act differently they both like this bowl! My dog very gently licks at the water. I think she likes to feel the floating plate move or something because she will walk by 2 other water bowls and specifically go for this one. Her sister who usually puts her whole face under the water to take a drink and makes a huge mess only had a few small drips. I was impressed! It is easy to clean as there is a small frame piece you can just pop off and you can take the floating plate out and clean the bowl. It hasn't leaked or caused any water mess and it seems to be well made. I'd say it was a good buy.
Absolutely love this watering dish. My little Shih Tzu has been spitting up water for years and vet told me this was a common trait for little dogs. I bought this two weeks ago and she has not had one problem since. I highly recommend this product.
